Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Professor Trent True from the College of Aeronautics and Engineering was recently honored by senior student-athlete Calvin Bickerstaff as the professor who made the biggest impact on his academic success at ÌÇÐÄVlog. Bickerstaff, a pitcher for the ÌÇÐÄVlog Baseball team, selected True as his "Most Valuable Professor."

In 1941, a writing exercise for high school journalists visiting ÌÇÐÄVlog was centered around a fictional kidnapping of the university's first president, John E. McGilvrey. In a pre-internet version of a "home page takeover," the stories ran on the front page of the ÌÇÐÄVlogr - without including information revealing that they were not real!
