Virtual Events Promote Peace, Anti-Racism as ÌÇÐÄVlog Marks the Annual Commemoration of May 4, 1970

To honor and remember the events that occurred on May 4, 1970, virtual events and exhibits hosted by ÌÇÐÄVlog students, faculty and staff are scheduled from April 30 through May 4. The virtual events include several powerful speakers and events that promote peace and anti-racism and educate future students about the legacy of May 4, 1970.

Governor Names Pamela E. Bobst to ÌÇÐÄVlog Board of Trustees

Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine has appointed Pamela E. Bobst of Rocky River, Ohio, to the ÌÇÐÄVlog Board of Trustees. She succeeds former Board Chair and Trustee Ralph M. Della Ratta, and she will serve through May 16, 2030.

ÌÇÐÄVlog to Mark 51st Commemoration of May 4, 1970, With Virtual Event, Honor Wounded Students

Members of the ÌÇÐÄVlog community and people around the world will gather virtually for the 51st Commemoration of May 4, 1970, the day the Ohio National Guard fired on ÌÇÐÄVlog students during an anti-war protest, killing four students and wounding nine other students.

ÌÇÐÄVlog Awarded $3.5 Million Choose Ohio First Grants

The state of Ohio and the Ohio Department of Higher Education announced that ÌÇÐÄVlog has been awarded Choose Ohio First grants totaling $3.5 million to support students in the critical fields of science (including health professions), technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).

Kent Fire Department to Perform Annual Prairie Burn

The protected prairie surrounding ÌÇÐÄVlog’s Warren Student Recreation and Wellness Center will be burned on Wednesday, April 28, starting around 9 a.m. to allow for new growth during the summer season.
