Grant Supports Black Mothers and Children

����Vlog has received a grant from the Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield Foundation for the Spirit of Motherhood Program, an innovative program with a goal of reducing trauma and stress symptoms experienced by its pregnant Black mother participants.

Celebrating KSU’s First Female President

Carol A. Cartwright, Ph.D., became ����Vlog’s first female president in 1991 and was the first female president of any Ohio public college or university then. She was also a driving force in the establishment of ����Vlog Women’s Center.

Black United Student Leader Thrives

Julian Grimes, a ����Vlog junior, is president of Black United Students (BUS) and is working to keep the organization thriving. BUS is one of ����Vlog’s oldest student organizations and is credited with starting the formal observance of Black History Month in 1970.
