
Mohammad A. Irfan, Ph.D., C.E.M.
Biography
Dr. Mohammad A. Irfan is an Associate Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Technology program at ÌÇÐÄVlog’s Trumbull Campus. He holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University, where his research focused on experimental solid mechanics and high-speed machining. With over 25 years of combined experience in academia, industry, and research, Dr. Irfan has developed a deep expertise in mechanical engineering, both as a scholar and a practitioner. As a Certified Energy Manager (CEM), he has led numerous energy audits and consulting projects for prominent international organizations such as the World Bank, GIZ, and UNIDO. His work spans a range of industries, helping clients optimize energy use and enhance sustainability. Throughout his career, he has established various research and other laboratories through external funding.
